IDOC maintains a network of IDOC Member Directors, known as IMDs, respected independent optometrists who provide local leadership for IDOC members and serve as highly qualified IDOC ambassadors. IDOC's nationwide team of IMDs facilitate regular study group meetings that help IDOC members in specific geographies explore the challenges and best practices of private practice ownership.
IDOC IMDs are selected based on their professional merit on both a local and national level, as well as a demonstration of their engagement and participation in private practice optometry as a whole. IMDs are active IDOC members who value the opportunity to express an independent point of view and help support the success of the entire IDOC community.
